It’s a time when many of us are sheltering in place and hiding ourselves from the COVID19 chaos that rages outside. Yet some are boldly taking to the streets to help a group many of us have forgotten about during this crisis: the homeless.

I recently sat down with Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa to hear how he and his organization are actively helping the poor and homeless.

“We are not sheltered in, we are not hiding in place,” he told me, adding that he’s helping wash, clean, feed and protect the homeless.
