‘Only God’: Massive ‘Miracle’ as Thousands of Students Choose Jesus, Confess Sin, Get Baptized
Author and speaker Jennie Allen is witnessing what she calls a real-life “miracle.”
Allen told CBN News she was absolutely astounded recently, when UniteUs, a ministry serving young people, arrived at the Rupp Arena at the University of Kentucky and saw thousands of students show up to praise the Lord.
Images and photos show hordes of young people engaging in praise and worship, with many coming forward to accept the faith and get baptized (there was another event at a separate campus that followed).
“So many kids come forward, confess sin, follow Jesus, and we’re baptizing usually into the morning,” she said. “And it’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s unlike anything I’ve even been bold enough to pray for … until recently.”
'We Have to Secure Phase 2': Brother of Israeli Hostage Speaks Out for His Release
As of today, 19 Israeli hostages and the remains of four hostages who were murdered while in captivity have been returned in the first phase of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire. Those remains include the youngest victims of the October 7, 2023, terrorist attack, Kfir and Ariel Bibas, who were 4 years old and 9 months old when taken captive.
The remains of their mother, Shiri, also taken hostage and killed in captivity, were supposed to be returned with her sons. But Israeli officials said Friday that the remains they received were of another unidentified individual that doesn’t match the description of any other hostage. Hamas claims that her remains were mixed with others during an Israeli airstrike, though her remains were later returned.
The outcry over the handover of remains was swift and predictable as Hamas paraded the coffins in front of cheering crowds. Another six hostages were released Saturday, which will be the last in Phase 1 of the ceasefire agreement that began in mid-January.
Phase 2 of negotiations for a continued ceasefire are set to begin next week.
Ilay David, brother of Israeli hostage Evyatar David, joined CBN's Faith Nation to share the steps he's taking to ensure the safe release of his brother from Hamas.
‘God Doesn’t Make Mistakes’: Born With Just One Arm, Woman Proves Absolutely Every Critic Wrong
Katelyn Pavey is a real-life inspiration. Born with one arm, she persevered, overcame her struggles — and, against all odds, played college softball.
Pavey’s incredible journey is told in “I Can,” a film that shows God’s grace throughout life’s many trials. For years, she rebuffed attempts to make a movie about her story, believing she didn’t really have anything special to share.
At the center of Pavey’s story is a difficult reality.
“I was conceived out of wedlock due to an affair,” she said. “Both my parents were married previously, and then when they got together, they had me.”
Adding to the complexity of the situation is the feeling her parents had that her being born with one arm was somehow a punishment for their sin. But her paternal grandmother reminded Eric of something important about Pavey, despite her disability: “God doesn’t make mistakes.”
While Eric’s guilt over the past initially held back a movie like “I Can” from being made, Eric came to realize the importance of telling the family’s story and Pavey’s incredible ability to overcome the odds.
Marc Fogel’s Mom Says Biden Admin ‘Didn’t Push Hard’ for Son’s Release, Praises Trump’s Actions
The world is celebrating after Marc Fogel’s years-long detention in the Russian prison system came to a close this week, with President Donald Trump securing his release.
No one is more elated over the freeing of Marc Fogel, 63, than his mother, 95-year-old Malphine Fogel, who has intensely advocated for her son’s release.
Marc Fogel, an American teacher who taught history in Moscow, was serving a 14-year sentence after being found in possession of prescribed medicinal marijuana — a harsh rebuke that stunned his family.
Malphine Fogel recently told CBN News her faith in God sustained her throughout the horrific ordeal, especially as uncertainty abounded.
“Sometimes, there’s nowhere to go except on your knees,” she said. “We just prayed on regular intervals. We just put our faith in God — we really did. And it worked.”
